This is an annual competition between Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. It is an individual and team competition over 18 holes stroke play.
Being a little short of handicap players at the moment, 6 girls represented Northampsonshire out of a field of 45. Our motto was "quality over quantity".
Our quality showed and our girls swept the board in the gross score section as follows:

CLUB AND COACH ASSESSMENT DAY
19th April - Northants County Golf Club
24 girls recommended by their coaching professional, attended this Assessment Day to determine coaching groups to be funded by grants from Sport England, administered by Northamptonshire Golf Partnership.
A glorious day was had by all and there are obvious signs of real talent for the future of girls' golf in Northamptonshire.
Coaching will run throughout the summer, with all girls playing golf in Northamptonshire being able to be part of the newly formed "Roses Golf Tour".
The idea of the tour is to get girls playing together on a regular basis at various clubs throughout the county. All girls will be contacted in the very near future with the dates and venues of the tour.
Keep an eye on the website for further information.
Anyone wishing to take part in future events should contact the County Junior Organiser, Janet Lambdon on janet4golf@hotmail.com
